M. Scott Park
Before specializing in leadership and financial communications, Scott Park developed his ear for sharp, effective messaging as a reporter in Washington, DC. He directly supported top leaders in government and within the Fortune 500 for 20+ years and has since been providing services to empower leaders and enterprises to tell their stories powerfully and drive business outcomes.
Joining the leadership staff within the United States House of Representatives as speechwriter, Scott wrote on a wide variety of subjects from tax and economic policy to the recovery from the 9/11 attacks. He joined the U.S. Department of Commerce to lead the speechwriting office for Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans. At Commerce, Scott wrote on a broad slate of issues impacting the U.S. economy, including the contentious issue of China trade policy. In 2006, he joined one of the world’s leading global energy companies to head the executive communications team.
There, he supported three CEOs, dozens of its C-Suite executives, and business leaders from across the globe. He led several enterprise-wide campaigns to expand employee financial fluency and business literacy. In addition to preparing leaders for conference appearances and speeches, he prepared executives to take part in Davos and similar high-level international gatherings. He served on the company’s rapid response team of crisis communicators. He deepened his knowledge of the Middle East during an expatriate assignment to Kuwait.
